Earthquakes

Text1(Original)

In shadows deep, beneath the ground,
Where silence reigns, without a sound,
A tremor stirs, a rumble low,
Earth's ancient dance begins to show.

With mighty force, the earth does shake,
Mountains tremble, foundations quake.
The world is tossed in wild embrace,
As nature paints her fearsome face.

Houses sway like ships at sea,
Trees dance in chaotic glee.
Yet in the chaos, beauty lies,
In nature's raw and wild guise.

And when the shaking finally ends,
A bond between us, Earth transcends.
For in this dance of fire and stone,
We find our place, not alone.

So let us heed the earth's call,
Respect her power, one and all.
For in her rhythms, we're entwined,
In earthquakes, unity we find.

Text2

In shadows deep, beneath the ground,
Where quiet prevails, without a sound,
A tremor stirs, a rumble low,
Earth's ancient dance begins to unfold.

With mighty force, the earth does shake,
Mountains quiver, foundations quake.
The world is tossed in wild embrace,
As nature paints her terrible face.

Houses sway like boats at sea,
Trees dance in chaotic glee.
Yet in the chaos, beauty lies,
In nature's raw and wild form.

And when the shaking finally ends,
A bond between us, Earth transcends.
For in this dance of fire and stone,
We discover our place, not alone.

So let us heed the earth's voice,
Respect her power, one and all.
For in her melodies, we're intertwined,
In earthquakes, unity we find.

  1. Earthquake, a topic we all can relate to. Good try, Angela. This is a long poem and not easy to read, isn't it?
